Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a universally accepted method of helping people stay connected to society in a relationally balanced and holistic way.

Psychotherapy, to someone in need of it, can be a scary thing. They may feel a certain way or display inappropriate actions. Psychotherapy addresses that problem. What does being lost or stuck have to do with anxiety, depression, panic, phobias, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, adolescent rebellion, drug abuse, or wife beating? The answer to that question is, they are all related.

When someone enters into psychotherapy, the common factors are their behavior, feelings, and thoughts. They may not understand why they feel so angry, depressed and why they fear everything around them. Psychotherapy assists the individual to achieve an understanding.

They may feel worthless, they may believe a conspiracy is under foot, they may both care and hate at the same time. Psychotherapy can be instrumental in addressing these situations before things get out of control. All the things they may do to themselves and their loved ones, make them angry with themselves. They may abuse their partner physically, yet they are sure they are in love. He or she may drive away the closest to them and sabotage any success in their lives. The ironic part of this behavior is that all during the abusive stage of the attitude or acting out, they can recognize the same symptoms in others. Psychotherapy can help.

He or she enters into one destructive relationship after another, as they recreate the same pattern, only to promise never to do it again. If they could see what they were doing, they might be able to resist engaging in them. Unfortunately, they end up stuck in the unsatisfying and self-destructive behavior. Psychotherapy is the key to breaking through their self destructive patterns. With psychotherapy they can learn to view situations as a third party observer. Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach to allow the person to deal with each habitual pattern and to heal.
